Canceled - St Mary's Get together Part Deux

We've been anxiously watching the deteriorating weather forecast for Saturday morning and it seems prudent to cancel the get together at this point. 50% chance of thunderstorms and they now have the morning winds blowing 12-14 with gusts to 24 - not conditions I want to be out in. Trust me, if we thought it was fishable we'd plow ahead but lightening and small boats on open water don't play well together. Perhaps something in September or early October.

I was headed to Indian Head Sat morning to fish,, all looks good till afternoon?
winds 3-5mph, no real chance of rain till 12:00, then it jumps to 40%,,, Game On

My forecast down here still has 40-50% chance of thunderstorms all morning and as the "host" of this informal get together it was the safer choice to cancel. Clearly that decision has nothing to do with individuals fishing on their own.

The difference between Indian Head and Piney Point locations are like dark and sunlight...the geographical are very different, open water, etc. Piney Point is its own ecosystem...Bill and I fished there last Sunday- wind forecast was light to variable...it was pretty choppy, and the winds were from the SE ...
