Monocacy River

My buddy and I have a trip planned down the Monocacy River this Spring. Maybe just a couple hours up stream then float back down nothing to crazy. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience fishing there.

i've never been there. ive only stuck to the mid chesapeake bay area around the bay bridge but this year i want to start hitting up some new places.

We will be way up near Taneytown, we canoed up a ways last summer but we want to take the yak's this year and making a long day of it.

i have fished from shore at the aquaduct and caught some LMB. Taneytown is quite a ways up river!

As much as I would like to display my manliness...we would put in around Taneytown not paddle up there. That would be quite the expedition...
