Still a month or two away, but I'm trying to think of a new way to store my kayaks during the winter. The last couple of years I've used kayak wall hooks in the garage. But now I would like to free up that space and I'm not sure that leaving them on their side is best.
This year I'm thinking of making sawhorses and leaving them outside, wrapped in a UV tarp, upside down on the sawhorses. I'm thinking of even adding a flat 2x4 on top of the typical narrow edge of a sawhorse to give it more area and less stress on the kayaks.
Do any of you leave yours outside during the winter? Any issues or suggestions? Do critters invade or chew?
