Do you find a need to ever lubricate the main drive shaft -- the larger weight bearing axel?

I believe there are bearings surrounding that axel; the Glide Technology (GT).

The new drives are incredibly smooth compared to the pre-GT versions. I want to keep mine that way.

This first year . I haven’t felt any reason to . I’m sure next year it will start to feel like it may need a little grease. Only reason I did not touch it, was because it still had a good amount that looked wet

Yes. I can still see the factory installed grease in mine. I do wonder what kind of grease to use when the time comes to re-lube it.
