Have not heard anything. The previous management of the tournament is no longer hosting therefore someone else would need to host. Havent heard Anything yet.
Quite a few Snaggedline members that went last year are still going this year. Better book a campsite soon though, it was pretty full a month or so ago.

There's gotta be somewhere closer that offers the opportunity to camp on a contaminated former airfield overlooking a leeching toxic dump, with the aroma of two sewage treatment plants near by, and the pretty colors of the jet fuel sheen on the surface of the putrid colored water, no?

Sea wall along White Plains Treatment Plant in the Potomac meets most of your criteria. Tough part is finding the quality camping option.

...Excellent flounder, bluefish, weakfish, and trophy striped bass fishery within a half day drive of MD*....fixed it for you. In all honesty though, it's a really nice area to fish from a kayak, and camp out with fellow fisherman. Could it be more scenic, and less polluted? Sure. But during my last trip there, the only foul smells I noticed were from the porta-johns, and maybe from the bunker, man those fish stink.

You left out tog and scup, but It's still disgusting, but to each his own, if that's your thing and your shots are up to date, knock yourself out.
I also don't understand the draw of this place.. on an outgoing tide its like fishing in new york city's flushing toilet. Absolutely disgusting and then you also have to battle the power boats, jet skis and NYC traffic and tolls! It's pretty much the exact opposite of what I look for in a kayak fishing destination.
So is JBay officially dead this year? I'm still going, but I'm disappointed the tournament didn't find a new host. Seemed like a lot of people enjoyed this weekend.
Being as though we have not heard anything about a replacement host I would assumenits dead at this point. There are quite a few ofnus snaggedliners going up the notmal week of the tournament. What day are you going up? I will be there Wednsday.
