  • Native releases new Slayer 12 XC kayak for river and flat water use

Native Watercraft announced the release of a new innovative kayak that is designed for use in moving river waters as well as on flat water. The Slayer 12 XC is a paddle-powered boat with many new features to make this a top-notch fishing kayak. One unique feature is a spring loaded skeg that can be lowered with a lever to provide better tracking. The skeg can be retracted for high maneuverability. Here is a video that Native released today.

I know that pedal powered kayaks are popular among Snaggedline members. But if you are looking for a full featured paddle kayak, take a look at the Slayer 12 XC.

This looks like the perfect shallow/fresh water boat.

I've been looking for something similar to my first yak pre-Hobie, and this is another great choice in that selection range! I didn't catch the entire video, curious where this sits among the price-point hierarchy.

Price is on the info comments for the video, no need to watch. $1499, or as us SMOG folks say, $1500.

Thanks Big Mike. I inquired to Native and got a similar answer.
