They don't seem to be there in any real numbers or size yet. We tried last wknd as well, in the Severn. Lots of panfish interest, but only a dozen or so crabs and of those, only 2 keepers. I don't think I'll be breaking out the trot line for at least a month.

Thanks for the heads. What were you using for bait? I may experiment with razor clams in traps. I planning to go east soon. I'm going to throw out a couple of traps while I fish. Like you said, I'm not sure it's worth baiting a line yet.

This is what I caught exactly one year ago today. I know everything is a little behind this year but I’m going to give it a shot this weekend and Father’s Day weekend. Wish me luck and I’ll keep you guys posted.

Crabbing was good to me last year. I had quite a few trips like this one all caught on trotline. I’ll let you guys know how it goes thanks
