I like to wade. I can thoroughly cover an area that way. Then I go back on the same outing and repeat my trail. The fish move back in shortly after you let an area rest.

Usually, by summer and through the early fall, the water level recedes to allow safe wading in many areas. Of course, fishing can be more challenging at that time due to low and clear water. Long casts and topwater is a good tactic then.

I'll be leading some FSFF outings to Brunswick in August and September. Dates to be determined. PM me if you're interested, and I'll make sure you get an invitation.
I did 4 floats last year and had the best fishing. I wonder if the high waters will slow the weeds a little. What is FSFF?

It will be July for that. It hit 25' of here and Dam 4 and 5 looked like water bumps in the river, no water fall at all. It was 8' now and predicted to go back up. The aquifer is full and I am seeing springs flowing that have been dry for a couple years
