  • Hope he made it.

I was behind this guy a few weeks ago heading to OBX. He seemed confident that it was OK. Hope he made it.

man is that a kayak on the roof? It looks like its hanging on by a thread.

I was amazed to see how people were lashing there kayaks on car tops when i was down there last month. I swear i saw a Honda with 4 kayaks
stacked on the roof no rack just straps.

I am paranoid about losing a yak by it coming loose off the rack- I strap my OK Prowler 13 down and tie front and back on- and I have the Yakima Land Shark saddles- then when I get above 60 (yeah, I know that is above the 55 speed limit) I keep an eye on the yak for any hint of movement- The Yakima Tower mounting system seems iron solid and i haven't had any problems at all, but still I keep a close eye on it- A good quality roof rack is worth the cost to have piece of mind knowing you have a safe and secure method of transport.
