    Sewage in the Potomac

Tried to put in at Piscataway this morning. Launch is posted with a WSSC sewage warning stating not to swim, fish, touch the water, etc. No fishing for me again!

Anyone Want to Fish Fresh Water on Monday Morning?

Looking to see if anyone wants to fish Monday morning at sunrise?

I'm open to either the Upper Potomac or else trying for snakeheads in Mattawoman?

          Thanks,

          Tom

I'd check the water conditions at Mattawoman before you go

WSSC issued warnings and posted the launch at Piscataway-big sewage spill in the Potomac (200 million gallons from DC). Read that they shut off the UV sterilizer at the Mattawoman sewage treatment plant and the rainwater from Irene spilled that into the creek as well.

I am looking to get out on the water Mon morning. Anyone going out to Sandy Point, Jonas Green or anywhere else within 1/2 hour of Annapolis?

...Just let me know what time. Accuweather shows a T-Storm at 5am and partly cloudy at 6am, cloudy for the rest of the day until 5pm when another T-storm rolls in. With that said, Accuweather also shows a T-storm for 6pm this eve at my house and it's still nice and sunny here at 6:20.

                    Anyone headed out 9/5/11

                    Hello,

I'm new here to the forum and also to kayak fishing. I have a Commander 140at this present time, waiting for the new Ride 135. Have to stay out of the Bay until I get my SOT. I would love to get on the Potomac, have fished it for years and years from General's Row to Aquia Creek and everywhere in between for LM bass. I know there are plenty of fish there. Would love to cast for some LM and even those vicious snakeheads. Anyone headed out to the Potomac in the morning? I'm not sure what the winds are going to be like tomorrow but it they're anythking like today, not heading to the main river. Was thinking of either Piscataway or Matawoman. If anyone is headed out and would like some company, let me know.

I hope to get out on the lower Severn Mon morning. I will launch at either Weems Creek, Jonas Green, or another point nearby. As a semi-retired guy who can fish multiple days per week, I am not likely to be out there at dawn. If the weather cooperates, I expect to launch between 8:00 and 9:00. I will look for other kayak anglers out there. I will be in a blue/teal colored Native Manta Ray 14.

You fellas be careful out there tomorrow- weather forecast calls for 100% chance of rain- I hope if it does rain it knocks out the ragweed pollen- it is kicking my butt-

Just checked the weather and the report says rain at about 5am overcast and more rain in the afternoon. I'll be at Jonas Green in the morning at about 8am or so. also talked to surfdog and he will try to make it as well. Got my soft crab thawing... there are none in any tackle shop in the area. See yall there
