What rod power for spinning setups when trolling/using for casting?

Upon your guys most popular recommendation, I just bought two BG reels in the 2500 size and now I need to get some rods. Should I be chasing M or MH options? Im going to troll and use them for top water here and there, but mostly troll with them. I dont honestly want to spend much, and I might get something like the Lightning rods or Ugly Stik for now until I accustomed to Striper fishing. Those rods are extremely cheap, so Im not too worried about loosing a few bucks, when I have to buy something else.

I use Medium rods rated to throw between 1/8 and 3/4 with my 2500 BGs.

I like the ugly stik elite 6'6" MH rod, though I will say the rod guides are starting to rust (or at least the outer coating is). I rinse my gear very well after each trip, so hopefully this is just a fluke and it's not a sign of degrading quality with the brand. I think you can't go wrong with the Lew's spinning rods or the penn squadron's. Tackledirect has plenty of options in the 30-50$ range. I too am using a BG 2500 on that ugly stik. I think my next rod will be a daiwa procyon inshore, paired with another 2500 or 3000 BG.

Im going to bump this up a bit..

Im thinking about buying possibly Daiwa Aird X or Shimano Teramar rods ( I Know, one extreme to another ). But looking for rod power suggestions.
