Finally took the plunge and tried kayak fishing

I joined this forum last year but did not get around to finally renting a kayak and trying my hand at this until a few weeks ago on vacation on Emerald Isle NC. Three of us rented kayaks and hired a guide out of Pogies in Swansboro NC and had a blast. The fishing was not very productive, but who cares, paddling around the beautiful salt marshes was as much enjoyment as the fishing.

I made the mistake of renting a Hobie and now am spoiled for expensive pedal kayaks. Since I am in Northern Virginia, I am going to try to find someplace closer on the Chesapeake to rent again soon, but I highly recommend Pogies; nice folks, great tackle shop and excellent rentals and guides.
