nice to here there are some fishing in the area.
YaknBass when you fish around the Key bridge where do you launch? I have to say I have never paddle out to Fort Carroll but have fished around that area at the mouth of Bear creek. I was using that as a reference.
Yak Fish maybe you YaknBass and I can set up a meet to fish some time and if any one else is looking to meet the weather and water temps are looking nice in the coming weeks.

You can reach the Key Bridge from Fort Armistead Park near the base of the bridge. I've fished from the pier there and there's plenty of fish to be had. There's lots of structure that I wanted to fish but didn't have my yak with me and never made it back.

I'd also like to try and fish around Hart Miller Island...perhaps troll around the island or the channels.

I'd be up for a mini meet and greet after the water conditions clear up a little bit.

i would be all in to meet up and fish the key bridge area or around the hart miller island area as well. fort armistead is where i launch from. it is a short paddle to the bridge and it is free to launch there. i wonder how the water looks in the area. i'm going to piney run this friday for the first time. figured i give the bay a little more time to settle..... not sure how long that is going to take. still have a few things on my bucket list for this year... all the best ""tight lines always my friends""

Sunday is football day! I love fishing, but not enough to miss the games
I'm interested to know how you make out. Check just on the other side of the bridge. There is a field of pilings there that must hold fish. I drive by a lot and think that I need to get there. I've been told that there are large perch and stripers that hang out in that vicinity.

                  Good luck!

I've crabbed in the past from a boat by the key bridge in bear creek and by the pilings mentioned. Some days we could net doublers off of those pilings. I have been wanting to yak fish around key bridge for a while now but have never made. I might be interested in fishing sunday morning, but I would like to be on the water around 6:30 am and probably off around 10 am (so I don't miss any football, lol). Let me know as it gets closer if people are still heading out and I will meet you out there.

Where do you get your bait? I'm mostly an artificial lure guy, but have no problem using natural. It just depends what I'm in the mood for. Typically if I want natural I'll throw in a cast net or catch some perch for cut bait.

There is a bait shop about 10 15 minutes from were i live i usually go the day before a trip and store them in my fridge overnight (wife agreed to a fridge in the garage so she doesnt have to look at the bait or my catch when she gets ready to cook also so she wont have to take cases of beer out her fridge either) also so there are no stops for me in the am were you looking to join up i could pick up some extra bait if ya want no cost to you. cause i always have extra in the fridge just for situation like let me know.
