Is there any part of Weems that's navigable, including the Tucker St. launch, or is everything still locked in ice? I'm getting antsy... Stopped by Beechwood Park yesterday, and Ft. Smallwood, and everything was solid. Thanks!

Everything is supposed to warm up this week, with temps in the upper 50's to low 60's. So things should open up.

I think everyone is getting antsy... Like Steve said, this week M-W are supposed to hit 60's, followed by rain Thursday/Friday so hopefully things loosed-up/thaw-out.

Even after the thaw, until the tidal pickerel return, a visit to Weems will most likely be merely a boat ride at this time of year.

I have a few friends heading to Eastern Shore mill ponds today. If they find open water, they should find willing fish.

Drove by there this morning it’s still looks locked up, at least the upper portion you can see from route 50
