Good work on the fly. I also journeyed to Unicorn yesterday. I went early in the morning, which was very much unnecessary. There was still ice on the water--though more open water than I was expecting--and the fish didn't start biting with any regularity until the late morning. I got off the water and entertained myself with some trout fishing on the fly until it warmed up a bit. Good day overall though. The pickerel seemed to like my wakebait.

Yes. This time of year it's wise to sleep in before hitting the ponds. Afternoons are usually better for fishing, especially if the sun comes out strong.Originally posted by BarefootPetr View Post...
