  • Kayak Launch Site Resources

I did a quick search on here to see if there were any mapping resources for kayak launch sites and could not find any active links, so I wanted to pass along two resources in case any one is looking to plan a trip in the near future to unfamiliar waters.

Maryland: Search for "Maryland's Online Water Access Guide" - GIS interface https://dnr.maryland.gov/Boating/Pag...boatramps.aspx

Hampton Roads, Virginia Launch Sites: Search for "Fish Swim Play Hampton Roads Planning District Commission" - Click on FishSwimPlay.com for the GIS interface https://www.hrpdcva.gov/departments/...hswimplay.com/

Please feel free to add any other reliable launch site resources that you find to be helpful!

This is my go to for all access to Chesapeake Bay and tributaries- http://www.cpakayaker.com/chesapeake...-campsite-map/

Scroll down to the map and zoom into whichever area you're curious about. It also provides info on the launch itself- bathrooms, launch type, fees, etc. Great site!

Try saki.iwarp.com for a huge list of potential launch sites.
        Saki's kayak launch site page.

Thanks for sharing! I like that it can be customized too. I will definitely be using this.

Not the Chesapeake, but in case anyone is interested in this sort of information for SE Florida, I stumbled across this list while doing some research for an upcoming trip:

            http://www.kayakfishingclub.net/2018...h-to-the-keys/

Many of those are mapped here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/vi...652773438&z=10

The list is developed from local knowledge of a kayak fishing group and has more than paddling.com.

I'd love to have lists like this for the entire east coast.
