Fishing suggestions for Saturday, what and where?

I may get out for my maiden fishing trip on my Hobie Revo this Saturday. I'm looking for suggestions on where and what to fish for on Saturday. The forecast if for rain on Friday so I suspect that might have an effect on my options.

I am considering Whems Creek, Severn River, Downs Park, Susquehanna Flats, Mattawoman Creek... I was thinking about fishing for Rock Fish or White Perch or Shad or Catfish. I'm open to different locations and fish.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on locations and fish to target. I'm not looking for coordinates just general ideas.

Congrats on the new Revo! IMO Weems would be a very nice area to test your boat. It hasn’t been very productive as far as fish lately but it is a very good perch area when they are there. Early reports on the Severn are not good. Mattawoman is hot for blue cats and the perch are coming in as well. Good luck

Weather looks pretty bad for Saturday, 60% change of precipitation. And be careful & aware of your surroundings, Saturday is opening day for Rockfish so there will be everyone and their brother out on the water, with planer boards everywhere...
