    10.5 ft long, 34 inches wide, original Mirage Drive, thermoformed 65# weight Hull, simplified rudder system, seat similar to Compass...and it supports 325#...the future of Kayaks?

    It appears to be the marriage of the two systems...the thermoplastic forming is supposed to be lighter and more rigid than rotomoulded plastic..the rudder is held down by spring tension so that it won’t damage by hitting something...not the fold and stow system...you put it down by hand..Some assembly required by owner...same basic equipment as the Compass...at a price point of $1299

      I wonder if the thermoformed kayaks hold up as well as their rotomolded counterparts? It seems like the rotomolded ones are heavier, but a bit more flexible and maybe more resistance to punctures than the more rigid thermoformed ones? Might not be the case though.
