I've read a lot about them, and I'd like to buy some. I've seen them on Anglers website, does anyone know of any other local tackle shops that carry them?

All tackle carries a variation of the pounder called the perch prowler. I prefer the pounder, more durable and higher quality skirt.
Bignose (I am not sure of his name, so that’s his SL username) also hand makes very nice spinnerbaits. Maybe PM him to see if there is any he has for sale? You really can’t go wrong with any options, they all will catch perch. That being said I always try to shop local, as do most fishermen around here.Last edited by CarsonNash; 05-08-2019, 02:26 PM.Annapolis

I buy 3-5 of these from Anglers every year, and if it weren't for me casting them off into oblivion every now and then they would probably last multiple years. They catch everything- perch like crazy, catfish, rockfish, bass, crappie, etc. My favorite color is "bus stop", a red jighead with a yellow skirt. I definitely recommend these. They cast surprisingly well and have good hooks with a long shank so short strikes still hook up pretty often. I usually get them from Angler's.Matt

I make my own:

I happen to pour my own jigs but you can purchase jigs and tie your own.
The other components, bucktail, wire arms, split rings and blades are available in tackle supply shops.
I've yet to find a color combination that does not work. I've caught white perch, yellow perch, channel cats, stripers, pickerel, LM and SM bass with them. Probably a few other species too that I cannot remember at the moment.
I don't sell them but if I ever meet you on the water I'll share a few with you.Mark
