For those who don't know, here are a some info to save you some money.
Maryland State Parks waive the entrance fee for veterans and active duty military. They also waive the fee for seniors over 62 but you must apply for a Golden Age Pass( good for life, what;s left of it
). For Sandy Point, after you get a Golden Age Pass, you can get a gate card so you can enter any time. (the gate card has to be exchanged for a new one yearly due to the system they use)
Quiet Waters Park. Military personnel and veterans can get a Vehicle Parking Permit which allows free access to the park any time it is open.
There are probably other free deals out there but these are the ones I use the most.
