Do you think the Ocean vs. the Bay and our rivers have any thing to do with the choices? Their waves are bigger and they have a lot more open waters- maybe they have shorter distances to cover to reach prime fishing but bigger ocean-
I have only had my Outback out once so if I vote it will have to be for my Prowler that I fished out of all year-Last edited by ronaultmtd; 09-25-2011, 10:47 PM."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

Definitely has something to do with it, but they have pretty long paddles to some of the better spots as well, CBBT.
One thing I did notice is the back bays were shallow and i hit my drive multiple times. I caught myself saying a few times... I wish i had my coosa, and then I was like nah my arms would get tired haha

i noticed in the parking lot of the tkaa event that nobody had hobies. about 90% of the kayaks were paddle. most of the hobies out there were from the mkf group. couple of us fished cbbt sat, peddled to the first island which wasnt bad at all but, the way back to shore was horrible. i just dont know how you guys do it with paddle yaks in long distances and current. i think i would die..lolOriginally posted by kayakkevin View Postfor us, we fish alot of out-of-the-water struture, pilings, docks, ships. its easyer to manuver around with a paddle.
as for me, i like to paddle!Hobie Revolution 13
