Launched this morning by myself- no one could fish today...invited six different snaggedliners...big mistake! Rocktober, Baby! Stripers were everywhere! 23 inch fish broke the ice and it was still dusky dark...everything was released today, Speckled Trout, Stripers, everything...still have leftover fried fish in fridge...8 flounder up to 16 inches...a half dozen or so Speckled Trout- 30 or more rockfish, nothing under 18 inches...great day on the water...home by noon...my pictures are too big to post-forum has reduced the max size to 30 mb so a half dozen pictures are missing from this post... but they are beautiful...

The Stripers were thick footballs, real drag burners...no skinny fish...Specks were colorful and flounder were thick but a tad short of legal...needlefish were needlefish...got into a big school of near identical size Stripers from 18-23 inches that were very cooperative once I found the lure and retrieve cadence they wanted. I was using a white 1/4 oz. Redfish Magic jighead with a 4 inch Gulp pearl/chartreuse tail shrimp. Cast out- let it fall...count to three then crank, jerk, crank, jerk...usually by the second jerk the fish was on pulling drag...I posted the pictures of my fish today on my FB page...but a warning...don’t ask to be my FB friend if progressive politics bother you...my page is eat up with my politics as well as fishing pictures...Last edited by ronaultmtd; 10-01-2019, 05:58 PM."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS
