Went out of Sandy Point this morning to a breeze and conditions that my weather source didn’t predict. Got a couple nice Spot of live lining size, but decided not to hit the rockpile due to the wind. Started perchin with my modified MEPPS #2 on my ultralight rod and 3# mono line. Finally found the perch, though only a couple keepers, then this guy decided to bypass the food chain and strike at my perch lure.
It was a lot of fun chasing him in the kayak to keep him on the line. 25”.
