I've long used the dark day, dark lure rule of thumb. It's counterintuitive but it does seem to work.
One thing in the video I would question is his concern with the visibility of leaders. I think for most of the fish we pursue on this forum, the visibility of the leader doesn't matter. Stripers, pickerel, bass, etc. typically hit from behind. If they see the leader at all, it likely doesn't register because their brains are locked onto the lure.

Very nice video.Great point on "Leaders" Mark. Never use it, straight braid to the lure! Outside of this years drought and water visibility being the best I've seen in many years. It has not cut down on my catch ratio.
