One of my best friends has started building custom rods and he's doing some amazing work right out of the gate. I had Steve Fogle build several rods for me prior to leaving MD, and I'm very thankful, but his focus has always been purely function. Most of the rods Steve made for me have worked fine, but a custom rod should be personal, perfection. Elliott has been making rods now for only a few months, but his wrapping skills have surpassed anything I have seen Steve produce.
