NC fisheries just cut the 2020 bluefish limit from 15 to 3 per day for rec anglers and 5 if you are on a charter. What the what????????? Supposedly the bluefish stocks on the entire east coast are overfished. Not sure I buy it based on my fishing success but is what it is. This just came out of nowhere though. I hadn't even heard a rumor of it.

I’ve heard that the same limit will likely be adopted by most my, if not all, the states along the east coast.

I had pretty good luck w/bluefish on the inlet side of Hatteras/Buxton mid/late Oct this year but they were almost non-existent surf fishing; not just for me but most everyone up and down many beach spots. Couple bait shops said the bluefish run was running late but guess they never really showed up.
