  • New restrictions due to COVID-19

Baltimore County has closed Liberty, Loch Raven, and Prettyboy Reservoirs for use as recreational facilities for activities including boating, kayaking, hiking, and fishing.

I guess the message is stay indoors, at home.

A neighbor of mine who happens to know Governor Hogan pretty well had mentioned that a lockdown may be announced on Monday.

Went to grocery store this morning- (wearing disposable latex gloves and surgical mask)...it was a scene out of Contagion...no bread, out of paper products...was able to supplant the essentials but had to visit two different stores...not an ideal situation but it is what it is...

If you launch at any Military base most of them went into a higher alert due to COVID and are now restricted to essential personnel or for official business. Regardless if you have an a pass or ID to get on base if you are not on the essential list or one of the exceptions for residents on base, medical appointments etc you will get denied access.

Yup, I see Fletchers any day now being closed. People are fishing in groups all over the place. Yesterday, I saw a dad fishing with his kids on one of the rocks. All were happy little clams, having a good time. Then a tool shows up 9:30 and squeezes in right next to him, basically making the family leave. A total jack weed

                    News from Maryland state parks....

ALERT: Following Governor Larry Hogan’s emergency actions to protect public health during the COVID-19 pandemic, all Maryland State Park beaches are now closed.

Please see this list of affected parks. Campgrounds, cabins, playgrounds, administrative buildings and nature centers remain closed, so "open" in the following list refers to day-use areas and trails.

State Parks are for individuals and immediate families right now. Help us keep State Parks safe and open by not engaging in social gathering.

If parking areas are full when attempting to visit a park, leave and either visit a different approved location, or return home and visit at another time when the park is not busy.
