After 8 years of cruising in my Ocean Kayak Torque, I have sold it to another angler.
A couple weeks ago I drove out to the shore and picked up a 2018 Outback.
Christened it last weekend and accidentally caught a striper while fishing a shallow gravel pit for LMB.
    I really love this boat.

Welcome aboard the “dark side.” Eventually, most fishermen who fish out of a kayak upgrade to the “dark side“...just too many advantages over paddle kayaks for fishermen...There are exceptions, of course- never is a “perfect” kayak for all conditions- always compromises...like lily pad choked or shallow rocky streams... the newer kickup fins Mirage Drives address something of these, but not all...

      buzz,

      Congratulations on your new ride.

Congrats also for launching without getting your legs wet. That's an accomplishment I've yet to master!

LOL... it was tricky for sure. Couldn’t find my boots or waders, but I was still itching to get out.
So I just laid the fins on the deck and used some rocks next to the ramp to step aboard.
Could never do that with the Torque cuz of the motor and 50lb battery.

Congrats on your new ride. Not having to haul a 50LB battery around is a huge upgrade.

Congrats...It is a fine kayak for sure...I have the older model and I take it out more than my aluminum jon boat....Stable enough to stand and paddle or stand and cast from...depending on your balance.

I was really hoping to do a demo day in DE last week, but...corona.
After paddling 5 miles this Saturday, I'm about to say F it and just blindly order that PA 12 360 I've been oogling at online.
