Carr’s Wharf Open??

Does anyone know if they are done working on Carr’s Wharf?? I called Park services bu no answer. TIA

I checked the county website and they said it is scheduled to open sometime in July. The work is done, but they are waiting on all of the inspections.

I stopped by there over the weekend and it is open. The pier is nice and it is taller/higher than before So it should be less susceptible to flooding. Parking there is a pain and when I was there, the pier fisherman and crabber parked their vehicles perpendicular to the road making a narrow lane available to drive down to the pier. One SUV parked right at the water in the turn around area opposite to all the other cars, thus blocking the narrow lane available. I barely was able to turn my vehicle around to get out. In the past I use to trailer my canoe there to crab, but now I would not dare.

Actually that’s how you are supposed to park. They people that park parallel to the guard rail are wrong. That’s per Chris from AA Parks and Recs. I was there Sunday and a guy with a 30 plus Foot cabin cruiser wanted to launch from there. He was pissed!!! It’s actually a soft launch NO trailers allowed. If someone does pull a trailer down there just call the County Sheriff. It’s a $150 illegal parking ticket. I e seen it done twice. Also the turn around is now gone . It was just before the pier.
