Any reports from down that way? I am thinking of heading east early Saturday morning. Haven't been there since the M&G 2 years ago.

I fished there on Monday. I paddled 9.3 miles and 6 hours in the heat (6:45 to 12:45). I caught about a dozen stripers to 20.5" and two large perch (11.5" and 12.5"). Some came by casting to structure and others came while trolling.
My buddy who fished there the same day had better luck, catching several stripers in the low 20s and one large speck.
The water is very warm now. I think you would have better success early in the morning or in the evening. Or wait a few weeks until things cool off.John Veil

Thanks for the info John. It's supposed to be a little cooler (81, if that's cooler) this weekend, and I would plan to get there early.
