How’d you do? I’m thinking of trying this spot in the next week or so if I can get out of work.

We launched at 9:00 Am (3 of us, Wife, SIL, and I)
      Wife crabbed with 8 traps,
      SIL worked the cove edges/shore.
I worked the next cove over.

Fishing was WAY off, wind was 10 mph +
I was throwing a 1/8 oz roadrunner jig with many different trailers, managed 5-6 small white perch in 4 hours, SIL was having same luck.
I picked up 2 puppy drum in the 12-13" range, casting jig to shore.
Crabs were slow, wife spent a lot of time moving from location to location.

River is 2 miles wide here, 100+ yards out we were still at a consistent 4-5 feet.
About 2pm I pedaled out to find a drop off, was ~1/4 mile out and in 10' water, found an area with bottom structure, after 5 min landed a 20" Rock bass, (1/4" underspin jig with paddletail swimbait in white)
went in and grabbed SIL, we went back to same spot and drifted it for 2 hours, about 5-6 passes. No more fish.
      I picked up a 13"Rock trolling back.

Over all Long and slow day, 9-10 hours on the water and brought home 24 crabs and 1- 20" rockfish
