Super scary indeed... but I'm thinking that was more of a surprise encounter for both parties. But after seeing that, I'm still going to be thinking twice about canoeing any little side creek on Maryland's Pocomoke River... in spite of the fact that the closest alligator is many 100s of miles away.
Any of you guys see the funny video on TV showing a remote controlled toy boat that's a spot-on copy of an "alligator head" slowing swimming towards kayakers. Their reaction was priceless and generally ended with them flipping over in their panic to get away from the "charging alligator."
