Talking points if you're coming tonight, sorry for the late notice:

    Pick and choose.

    1) Open the swimming beach at Mayo Beach Park to the general public 7 days a week

    2) Don't use the new water access $268k a year fund to renovated existing dilapidated public water access (Galesville Wharf, Green Haven Wharf) use it for new public water access facilities. This ongoing funding led to the beloved Homeport Farm Park and Downs onto the Bodkin launches. Fund existing wharf renovation from other accounts.

    3) Instead of wharf renovation do:

    1) A pocket change kayak launch from Weinberg Park onto Rock Creek $1000 plus volunteer labor
    2) A pocket change kayak launch from South River Farm Park $500 plus volunteer labor
    3) Improve Beachwood Park
    4) Start Valentine Creek on the Severn

    3) Fund new public boat ramps. The county just finished surveying every commercial marina and private community marina for boat ramp partnerships. The survey didn't find any of those unicorns. New boat ramps will have to be built.

A launch from Weinberg onto Rock Creek would be sweet. it's more sheltered than going out of Fort Smallwood (and Fort Smallwood will be closed this summer). You can also get right into Whites Cove, which is sheltered and pretty and probably has fish!
