  • TONIGHT! Beverly Triton Preconstruction Online Stakeholder Mtg 6 pm Tuesday 10/5/21

    Hello all,

TONIGHT! Tuesday 10/5/21 at 6pm! Come to the online Beverly Triton Preconstruction Stakeholder Meeting and learn about the construction schedule and details of the three DECADES overdue public swimming beach at Beverly Triton Park. The beach project also includes a lake fishing pier, trail improvements, a bathroom / park office with rinse stations, cartop launch assistance, and a children's play space.

Zoom details at the link: https://www.aacounty.org/departments...g-20211005.pdf

"Construction is anticipated to begin in Winter 2022 and be complete by Winter/Spring 2022."

And folks, despite that "anticipation", keep your eyes on the construction going forward. Construction of this public swimming beach project was set to start in Fall *2020* and without any explanation or notice got slow rolled. Let's not have deja vu all over again!

    See you tonight

    Update:

Good news: Beverly Triton Park will close on Monday, October 11, 2021 so construction can begin. Both Rec & Parks and DPW say the construction contract is signed.

Bad news: The construction is scheduled to last one year, rather than the 6 months we've consistently been told it would take.

Updates will be posted HERE: https://www.aacounty.org/departments...on-nature-park

Hopefully they will post the presentation and Q&A from last night's zoom meeting there.

    FYI

After nearly four decades of often deliberately stymied progress, a wait of an additional 6 months is tolerable to make 300 acres of beautiful publicly owned Bayfront property more accessible and functional to visitors.

Thank you Lisa for your strong advocacy and kudos to those on Snaggedline who presented their wishes for Beverly Triton improvements to county government officials.
