  • Who is fishing sunday and wants to get together?

I plan on fishing on Sunday, but I am not sure where. One option is Mattawoman for Cats and Snakes..... Maybe Back River in VA Tidewater area for Speaks? Any suggestions and where and when are you going and what species are you targeting?

Moc- I really want to fish this weekend- Sunday may be an option- today is out- I just flew home last night from the west coast and I have been gone a week so the Missus and Daughter want some of my time- figure i'll do whatever they want to do today and sneak out tomorrow- thinking about PLO for some bigger stripers- I have gotten pretty satisfied with catching speckled trout- fun and tasty, but time to get on the bigger stripers now-

If you are set on big cats, Mattawoman would be an option, Wicomico River at Cobb Island would be another hot spot for monster cats- also you can get big stripers there.

PM me and let's figure it out-

Im getting back to my fishing roots and slowing things down a little bit tomorrow and going for some trout, the freshwater variety...

If anybody is interested in joining Im fishing the upper gunpowder put and take area... just wading... no kayak.

Hope you get some big cats or snakes if you make to mattowoman.

Well, I never made it out today. I was beat from taking a buddy crabbing on Saturday. It was a promise that I had to keep. We caught just a dozen and a half over a bushel. That being said, it turned out that I had some unexpected family obigations to take care of and that wiped out whatever energy that I had left. Fortunately it turned out that Ron and Bill had obligations for Sunday, so no one could get out anyway. At least I can site down for a nice dinner of crabs.

            I caught these today...

It was kind of nice for a change to go fishing without a carload of gear...

I took a buddy out around harbor hospital today. Got a late start and wasn't on the water until around 11. Not much going on but did manage to locate some fish as the wind and tide started picking up around 2pm. I ended up catching 2 rock at about 20 and 24 inches all fat and sassy and 3 small white perch. One rock was caught vertical jigging and one trolling a rat'l trap. Live lined the white perch and had 7 or 8 real nice runs but couldn't stick 'em. Found the fish stacked on a 20 ft deep shelf that broke into the 40 ft + shipping channel. Took my buddy a while to get used to fishing from the kayak but he was able to wipe the skunk off with a small white perch. Good fishin

I caught the trout in the upper gunpowder falls in sparks, md. Had the whole stream to myself except for a huge bald eagle that flew right over me and big fat beaver that climbed out of the water to say hello.
