  • Introduction

Hi All - am brand new to this forum but have been reading on and off for a while now as a non-member, and I've learned so much and would really like to learn a lot more. I'm also new to the sport of kayak-fishing, never having fished or kayaked until now. A trip down to Fort Fisher, NC (Buzzard Bay) 2 years ago and then another 2 day float trip down the Juniata in PA this summer pretty much sealed my fate. (Now my family wonder what's gotten into me.)

After alot of research and thinkin' on it - I finally bought a Wilderness Tarpon 140 around Labor Day this year. I've managed a handful of outings on it so far, all on Little Seneca lake in MoCo, while I get to know the boat and improve my skills. I am very much looking forward to expanding my water-bound horizons though.

    Great forum here.

Welcome Jaybird. Hopefully we will see you at one of our Meet and Greets. You can get alot of rigging ideas from seeing other kayaks.

Welcome. I did a float trip on the Juniata quite a few years ago. It is a great little river. If you liked that, you may also enjoy the upper Potomac.

Welcome to the forum and the sport. You'll find some great stuff here.

How's the fishing on Little Seneca? I've heard its one of the nicer lakes in the area, but have never gone there.

                      Welcome!

You join this motley crew at your own free will. But beware of the rebels. They will try to keep you from going to the dark side. If you yak enough, you'll be lured there. Then a sub-group of the ones on the dark side will cajole you, and you may even end up with a PA

                      Maybe with a torqeedo too
