Welcome aboard. The new 140 is a good looking boat. How do you like the rod holder in front? Do you move it around when you paddle? I need to add some wing nuts to the rod holder on my 120 so I can move it easier.

Welcome! Little Seneca lake is a beautiful lake to fish, heck just to paddle is a good time! I used to fish there a lot from shore when I lived up that way... hooked a nice tiger muskie once, ahhh the one that got away... But definitely welcome and keep a look on the board, there is always somebody going somewhere!

Fishing on the Little Seneca (Black Hill Regional Park)

To be clear, I've been taking my rig onto the lake at the Black Hill Regional Park, which I think is called Little Seneca lake (on Google Maps). I've been out a handful of times and have caught a fish every trip except for one.

Mostly I've handled the litttle ones, but I do lay claim to one Bass at 15" and then another Bass at 16" on separate trips.

            Follow Up

p.s. The fishing caught every trip is more of a testament to the lake conditions and less toward anything I'm doing per se. Also - I've been fortunate to have some good advice and guidance from another experienced yakfisher. The two bigger ones I caught did get the juices flowing for sure.

Ictalurus - I'm still experimenting with that rod holder. Not quite perfectly happy with a side mounted rod holder, although the slide trax system is great. I'm still looking for the best center mounted rod holder set up, but it will have to come with an elbow joint of some kind: it's a long stretch from the seat to where the Scotty mount would be positioned in the 140.

Also - looking into a rudder setup but that a discussion for the rigging board. I'll post some more pics of the current set up in that threaded forum soon.
