im heading there in the morning early and throw some BTs and art. eels from shore -
got up a little late i wanted to get there by 0600 but didnt arrive till 0700. talked with a guy that was leaving as i was setting up and he said he had a good morning and had a 25" rock in his cooler and had lost a 30"er so i was amped up for some catching. started casting 1oz bt with 6"gulp swm. mullet nothing. next jointed hard bait, nothing, then chartreuse jig head with the swm. mullet noda again, spro bbz, noda. tried some bts with bass assassins also nothing, sucks!!!! i wasnt the only one getting the skunk a few boats made some drifts through the bridges coming away with no fish either. so 2 hours on the east side and an hour on the west side and came away with a big SKUNK!! fishing stinks id rather be catching
should have got my a$$ out of bed and got a line in before sunup

sorry to hear the skunk. and i think you're right about being on the scene before light. starting in the afternoon, i think of it as a paddle with chance of fish. supposed to be nice weather for either.Comment

I feel your pain, surf. It happened to me many times. You get there, hear the good fishing report from the departing fisherman, toss your lines out with full anticipation and then get skunked. Then you say, "Dang, I should have been there earlier."

i know its fishing, but after measuring the rock for him and getting some tactics i was ready to fish and catch! o well next time
