  • New to the board. Saying hello!

Just wanted to introduce myself since im new here to the board. The name's Perry, live down here in Smithfield, Va. Still don' have a yak of my own yet, but Ive been using my buddies for awhile now and once the funds are there, i'll have one. Been fishing for close to 15 years now, but i'm new to the kayak game and I can't get enough of it!! Usually been fish Rudee, the Elizabeth River, and occasionally Lynnhaven Inlet. Looks like there is no shortage of great information and anglers on here! Hope to learn a lot from you guys and maybe seeing some of you out on the water!

    Thanks again,

    --Perry

Welcome to the board! A lot of us are from MD, but theres also quite a few from VA too. A lot of us Marylanders like to fish down in your area so its good to have some people on the board from different areas to share information. Lot of good dudes on here that will help you out whenever they can...

Welcome! Hey, you ought to get that yak soon. Study the forum and rig your yak over the winter so you'll be ready in the Spring. That's when the fishing M&Gs begin to roll.

Perry you've found a great place here. I've only been here a few days, but already the guys on here have helped me catch my first tasty rockfish! Everybody here is really awesome and knowledgeable.

I'm glad I found this place (actually CB Kayak 2 found me on the Hobie forums and told me about it. Thanks!)

Welcome! Kayak fishing will change the way you fish, that's for sure.
It's even better when you meet some of the cool guys on the site....it's almost like fight club. You see another kayaker on the ramp and you feel each other out to see if they are on the site as well without really saying anything

Thanks for the warm welcome! Well I just picked up my first kayak today, a Perception Kingfish 12' sit on top. Taking it out to the Hot Ditch tomorrow on the Elizabeth River. Can't wait to finally get out on my own yak!!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your kayak-The hot ditch will be a "hot spot" as the waters cool- fish congregate there and so do fishermen. Have fun but be careful in the cool waters.
