    Happy Thanksgiving!

Looking at the beautiful weather, I bet most of you are out on the water while I'm stuck at work . Can't wait to hear the reports from today's fishing! (I was out at SJC yesterday morning. Got a 17 incher by the red house and two smaller ones inside the creek. It got rough and I went home.)

I hope everyone had a safe and happy turkey day. I wish I could go fishing this weekend but I am out of town until Sunday evening. So I will have to live through everyone else's reports.

I flew home from Oregon Tuesday night with a nasty cold (flu like symptoms) and have been down- under the weather, but glad to be home- Happy Thanksgiving- be glad to get my yak wet again soon-probably PLO or Piney Point are in the cards for later in the week-got to get well first- Got to get a big cow striper before the season closes-

          Rick,
I made an awesome dressing with the remaining ESVA oysters you brought- definitely the highlight of my Thanksgiving groaning board. I'm good for a bushel any time!

If any of you missed it, here's an interesting link for inexpensive kayak fishing gear:

My Thanksgiving was great and I truly do have a lot to be thankful for with great family and food. I even got in a really good paddle yesterday to work off the ridiculous amount of food that I ate...

Anyways related to Toadfinger's post: This reel is not in the article, but its very reasonably priced and I think its really nice. I just bought an Okuma Trio from Overstock bait and tackle for $70. This reel is very smooth and looks really awesome. The final test is to see how long it holds up. I would highly recommend this reel to anyone looking for a medium sized spinning reel...
