You taking off at 4am? You taking the BB or the CBBT?

Safe driving everybody... don't hit a deer like Rob Choi!

Coming back December 4 from Piney Point I came as close as I ever could from hitting a deer- actually brushed up against it down the drivers side- no damages to me or deer I could see- looked like 10 or more deer in a herd justs bombed me on MD 249 right before route 5 N....

Thanks guys! All is well... Nothing a little body work can't fix. Looks like the passenger side fender and probably the door. How'd everyone do Saturday?

I just got home from Kipto. I got on the water around 3:30 and soaked an eel at the ships for 6 hours before releasing 3 eels unharmed. Hopefully the fish will be here for Christmas.

Everyone should believe in something... I believe I'll go fishing.

I think the fish are still up in MD and haven't migrated down to Kipto yet- I'll let you know later today if my theory is correct-

I decided not to try for Striper given the reports from everyone else out there, so I focused on Tog fishing. Yesterday I arrived at Kipto around 8 and was on the water by 8:30. I called it quits around 12 as the waves were easily up to 10 feet on the outside of the ships and it was even very choppy on the park side of the ships. For my efforts I managed 2 nice Tog at 15" and 16", my first ever! I wasn't planning on fishing today originally, but I got the Tog fever and the winds were forecasted to be much lower. Today I only fished for about an hour and 1/2 and mananged 3 tog all in one hole inside one of the ships. First one went back at 12" and the next two were 15". Good quick morning today! I look forward to doing more Tog fishing next year they're an interesting fish.

Now Im off to Chicago for work.
Thanks again to Memorymaker for use of the trailer.

Congrats, Ryan! You lost your togginity like Mytymouse this weekend.

Agree, togging is almost addictive. Let me know how you like the table fare.

Yes, thanks so much to Memory Maker for planning this trip! He gave us a tour of Cape Charles in his truck Saturday afternoon. He also brought us some oysters. Had them fried for dinner today. Thanks again!

                        Oh, almost forgot:

Yeah, it was rough out there. I was concerned about the high NNE winds. It was confirmed. Bad. Choppy on the east side. Big swells on the west side. Very hard to maintain position along the wrecks on either side. Used live blue crabs for tog and got nada, not even a nibble. I also trolled for stripers. Nada. Too rough, so I quit after four hours on the water. Don't think I'll ever try that again if the wind direction is not right.

At least the tog were cooperative even if the stripers weren't. It doesn't sound like conditions were ideal.

Good stuff Ryan! So were you in the ships or you just hit a smaller hole on the side? Man you did much better than I! I wish I would have got on em that quick!

The first one that I caught was on the outside of one of the ships and the rest of them I caught by sticking my rod through one of the holes in the ship and then pulling them out. Crazy fishing! I will hopefully be posting a full report with pictures this afternoon....
