I know cod is not your typical kayak fare, but does anyone else head north for some winter codding?

i'd rather head sout for snook i've caught cod off OC years ago while going for sea bass. a lot of fun and good eating. read the morning stars fishing report and they said that they were getting some cod on the sea bass trips
