Video to Picture

I'm sure that a lot of you already know how to do this, but I thought I'd share a little tip for turning a shot from video to just a static picture.

Whether you are watching raw footage that is directly from your camera or a clip on youtube or the like, you can use this.

Step 1. Put the video in full screen mode.
Step 2. Pause the video where you would like to convert the screenshot into a picture.
Step 3. Push the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.
Step 4. Open Paintbrush or Photoshop or something similar.
Step 5. Push "Ctrl" "V" on your keyboard
Step 6. Crop the picture however you like.
Step 7. Save the picture

Thanks Ryan, Didn't know that either. I did know that there was a program called SNAPPY that did that but that was a long time ago and it also had some external hardware with it. I may still have it.

If you have Windows 7, you can also use the Screen Snipping tool. It'll let you take screenshots of just certain portions of the screen... no need for cropping.
