Herring Moratorium Now in Effect

Guys FYI, you can no longer possess herring in MD. I was on a charter boat during the striper catch and release season and this was a hot topic between captains because a live herring was almost always one of the baits thrown out...and was usually very effective. I wonder what those guys are going to do to ensure clients catch fish now that they can't use their go to bait. I guess importing fish is an option but herring are probably a little too fragile to do that with.

thats going to hurt the fishery, i guess its going to be all big top waters and large swim baits. going to need to pick up some Gulp herring sent to spray on the lures
