  • 2012 Meet and Greet Schedule

Here is the link to the Official 2012 that you can download
    http://home.comcast.net/~mcharles007/2012MG.pdf

John Walton setup the meet and greet at Dave and Busters for January 14th at 2:00pm for our fist M&G for the 2012 year. I took photos, kept track of all of attendance and other written record keeping. Rick brought name tags and helped me with the attendance keeping. Matt had an informal raffle to award a few items donated by his sponsors.

It was a successful meeting. We ended up with 24 kayak anglers. The meeting attendance could have been higher, but we had five anglers who could not make it. Regardless it was a great turnout.... one of our largest to date. We were able to set the locations for the next 11 Meet and Greets for the 2012 season. We would still need to get volunteers to scout out the restaurant locations for pre or post fishing get togethers to discuss how we did over drinks and food.

After the Meet and Greet, many of the Anglers went to Bass Pro Shop to spend their gift cards.

What would be involved with being the organizer of the meet and greet?

I'm not completely familiar with the area, but I've fished the Susky quite a few times by boat and by kayak. So, if we need an organizer for February, I can volunteer since it was my idea.

I will update this list with you Nay_Sayer.

Ryan, all you have to do is be there as the organizer and just setup a destination that we can meet before or after for food and drinks so we can talk about the tactics for the day or how we did afterwards. Any restaraunt is fine. However, if it is after the fishing event, see if they do not mind a bunch of smelly fisherman coming by...lol.

Could we make the Master Schedule for the 2012 M&G's a sticky so we don't have to go digging in the archives for it?? Just a thought...
