Bought myself for xmas a new kayak and now in the market for a new fish finder. Would like to know what others have and how you mounted your transducer.

Bought a new malibu stealth 14. Love it so far. been out once on it. Getting it ready for the spring and summer.

Are you happy with the results. Looks like a great idea. Are your water temperatures somewhat accruate?

unless you have a through hull transducer setup, the water temps are never going to be accurate.

i mainly use the fish finder to look at water dept and a lot of times i dont even take it with me. i do like the wet well setup better than any other setup.

I have a simple humminbird that I'd eventually like to get a down imaging or side imaging unit. I run the transducer wire through the hull and mount the transducer to the tip of the rudder.

The nice thing about this model is it's a 2 in 1 fish finder and GPS. It's nice if you're not too familiar with the area you're fishing in (especially for newer fishermen) or fish at night fairly often, since you can easily find your way back. It maps out your trail from your launch point, you can set way points from where you launch and mark way points wherever you want.
