  • Time flies...

I was just sitting here at work thinking (your tax dollars at work) how fast the time goes by, and how quick you learn by getting out there on the water and fishing. I drank from a fire hose...tried my best to at least. My first trip in my old yak (SS Metro) was live-lining at the Bay Bridge with mytmouse.

Learned a lot in that kayak. Maneuvering...packing efficiently...weather reports/forecasts. Fished our bay, Jug Bay...weems...Jonas...Delaware Bay. All fun times learning.

My first trip in the "MetroExpress" was on a cold day on the Susky...
It's almost been a year since that trip now, yet it seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago.

Hope to do more kayaking & learning this year than last year...

This thread has been brought to you by winter boredom. Hopefully I can get on the water this weekend.

Metro, I am amazed that MYT taught you so much in such a short period of time.

My first ever kayak fishing adventure I caught a 13" rainbow trout in August 2010:

My first time out on my 2010 Hobie Outback I caught crabs and white perch in June 2011:

My first time out on my 2012 Hobie Outback I caught Tautog in December 2011:

I think thats a pretty good progression.
