Will do Redfish- I am looking forward to putting this outfit together- I am planning on carrying a fishing rod with me on all my trips- now I am setting up a small travel tackle bag to take with me- soft plastic swim baits, jig heads and assorted colors of curly tails, gulps, buck tails, assorted hooks and a couple of original Rapala 2 1/2 inch floating minnows-

There was a good article in Kayak Angler about fishing near Pine Island in SW Florida. Beautiful area and I've heard that the fishing this year has been great for reds, snook and trout. The article mentioned www.swflkayakcharters.com as the rental/guide outfit in the area. The town is called Matlacha.

A guy on Tidalfish, Jay Fleming, had a post about his trip to that area in December. Sounded great. http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/show...-of-SW-florida

      Have fun!

The prices are all pretty much standard down in Florida- $225 guided all day kayak fishing trips- $150 half day.
