Anyone had any feedback from today's participation at Bass Pro Shop event? My turn sitting at the table is in the morning-

    Went well today!

I was there from 9- 12:30. A good amount of people stopped and a lot had kayaks but had no idea about Snaggedline.com so I think we will have an increase in numbers here shortly!

Is the table all setup or do we have to set it up again in the morning at 9 when the store opens for business- I have the first shift-

The table is put away in the storage room in the fly shop and the flyers for MKF and the CBKA tourney are behind the counter in the fly shop. It is about a 5 min setup for the table. Moc brought a monitor and laptop to do a slideshow but he took it home with him. I think Medicyaker is bringing his tomorrow but he wasnt sure if it was working correctly so someone else might want to bring one too. The slideshow was a good draw. There are two extension cords behind the counter for you to use if you need them.

The biggest draw is the rigged yak. We had a lot of people who came to look and chat about setup and rigging for fishing. I just talked to Medicyaker who said there were quite a few yaks sold today thanks to us.

We met a lot of yak anglers who had not heard of MKF and were very happy to find a group of like minded people to share ideas, ask questions and get out to fish with.

I second what NaySayer said. There were some people thinking of buying a kayak, but did not know what kind to buy. We directed them to our website so they can join and post questions to get answers from our knowlegeable members. The slide show on the computer was like fish bait that attracted some people to the CBKA and MKF flyers, then the rigged kayak brought them in for the kill...lol. But really, the new kayakers and the experienced folks that already had yaks where happy to find out about MKF and the Tournament. Lots of flyers were handed out. Lots of Anglers said that they will register with Snaggedline.com and look into the tournament in September. I told them about the meet and greets. They all seemed excited!

We have over 500 members on MKF, I cannot believe that we will not get more participants in the Tournament from our board alone in September than last year. I would love it if we were able to break the 100 person barrier.

                I was there!

I was there getting a few things and stumbled upon Jerry Sauter's seminar. Awesome if you are into fishing the big MD reservoirs in central Maryland.

Next I ran into the Maryland Kayak Fishing guys at the table. The guys in the photos were there. I talked to Moc, but I can't remember the names of the other guys.

It was great meeting you guys and I look forward to fishing with a few of you this year.

                13 Tom

Thanks to all who participated saturday and are going to participate today for the showing of MFK at Bass Pro. The fishing manager told me what a great group we were and has given an open invitation to return anytime. Unfortunately, I stayed pretty busy in the fly shop all day Saturday but did get an occasional chance to chat with the group and did send several kayakers to talk with the group. The customers I did send to the group did come back and commented on what a great group and wished they knew about it sooner.

I did think this will assist in getting our name out and having more members

Thanks again to all, but a special thanks to nay sayer for the his kayak display on Saturday and Moc for his Oscar wining video presentation.

Good job guys. What you all are doing is encouraging the sport and helping it grow. We all get looks when we go out fishing because there are tons of people that are not exposed to what we do.

Didn't even realize there was a post on this already. Copy + Paste FTW. So glad I made it today! Thanks to Tom, Mike, and I believe....Dan?....for all the great advice . You guys really know your stuff! I picked up a few things on clearance but was very suprised to learn that bps doesn't sell any bucktail teasers. I've been able to find some in walmart. But I'm looking for some good quality white teasers. Does anybody know where I could find some in the harford county area? Also if anybody knows of a good bait shop in my area I would love to visit. Making a trip down to the baltimore area every time I need live bait is a pain. Thanks again to the guys set up at bps! I picked up some new pieces for the A10 and the project will continue soon
