  • If you could live anywhere...

If you could live anywhere based solely on kayak fishing, where would it be?

Personally, I'm hard pressed to think of a place better than the upper bay because of the wealth of fish that migrate through including perch, shad and larger stripers. Throughout the year there are still great opportunities for striper, large mouth, carp, catfish, perch, etc. Then, when it gets too hot, crabbing is awesome. I feel like we have a pot of gold out there as long as we take care of it. It must have been even better 100 years ago.

I'm biased though because I live near the upper bay and fish it often, so where would you guys move?

Probably somwhere in the Fr. Myers Beach area of Florida. It is a fishermans dream, Tarpon, Redfish and Snook to mention a few. A person can catch shrimp and crab there, if wanted.

This place sounds pretty awesome. Catching tarpon on a kayak would be insane...I'm in!

I think mid-upper bay area is great! With that said, I actually have job applications in with two counties in Florida. Come August, I can only dream to own a house and be teaching down there!

I would move back to Hawaii. I lived there for a short time in the early 90's. It may be a toss up between that and Fiji though.

What would you fish for in hawaii? I'm sure there's tons of things, but is there something specific that's really exciting?

I'd fish for anything-I'm truly an addict . Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Bonefish, Marlin and Swordfish would be a few of the choice targets.
